Welcome to the LANIER BASKETBALL LEAGUE

 

Mission Statement

The purpose of the Lanier Gwinnett Basketball League (GBL) Basketball Program is to provide the children of the Lanier School Cluster who participate in Laniers GBL basketball Program a quality instructional athletic program that promotes teamwork, builds self-esteem, and increases skill knowledge in a safe, non-threatening environment.

 

Philosophy

Our philosophy is to ensure that the players of the Lanier GBL Basketball Program are adequately prepared to compete at a competitive level against other GBL school cluster teams and to develop the players ability to enable the player to adequately contribute to and be a valuable asset to Laniers 8th Grade and High School Basketball program in the future.

 

Goals

Our primary goal is to inspire, encourage, and motivate the players to excellence by helping the players optimize their talents while maximizing their potential through practice, skills and drills exercises, repetition, and team work. One of our goals is to ensure a competitive environment within our program so that the program adequately competes with other GBL school cluster basketball programs and to ensure the players will be adequately prepared to meet the challenges of playing on Laniers 8th Grade and High School basketball teams. Additionally, we want to ensure that the players are striving for excellence in the classroom as well
